Advisory

9th Grade

The 9th grade advisory course focuses on awareness of self, others, and environment as students transition into high school. Students are introduced to self-check in tools, self-advocacy, community building and psycho-education on mental health and wellness.

10th Grade

The 10th grade advisory course is a student-centered program focused on social-emotional learning, self-awareness, community building, and personal growth through engaging, interactive activities. Students strengthen communication, leadership, reflection, goal setting, and college/career readiness skills while building a supportive classroom community that encourages confidence, accountability, and connection.

11th Grade + SAT Prep

The 11th grade advisory course is split between college search and SAT Prep. Students receive support on the Reading and Math sections of the SAT exam with direct and self-paced instruction. By the end of the year, students create a fleshed out list of prospective colleges and programs as they approach application season in the fall of their senior year.
